Today I brought home the NOS Hors that I found at a bike shop 1500 miles away from my home thanks to this forum. It is a little small at 58.5, I really ride a 59.5. But I didn't think that I would ever find a brand new frame with a DKS rear in a 59.5. So I decided to buy it and try it out. I moved most of the components over from my Ottrott, except for the handlebars, stem and headset. I was able to find a Serotta Ti quill stem on e-bay.

I took the Hors out for a 45 minute spin this afternoon and am still trying to dial in the fit. It is still too early to give an educated opinion on the ride, but I do have a grin from ear to ear.

By the way, I also scored a back-up set of new elastomers. It seems that someone stole the elastomers off of Ben's bike when he wasn't looking. :D

you could've changed a few letters in your thread title and the situation would've been a LOT worse

anyways--congrats, it's a beautiful bike (nice score on the extra elastomers, btw)

That was the play on words I was going for. Either way, I rode the hors hard and then I snuck the hors into the basement. :D

I have been with the same woman for almost 23 years, so I am happy just to get a ride once in a while, even if I have to pay for it.

What a nice looking ride!

So Kevin . . . Exactly how much IS it worth to you to keep your wife from finding out you bought this? :p

AND . . . are you going to bring this one to Open House this year when you FINALLY join us?

I may bring the entire stable with me. I am a firm believer in letting the children see the Mother land. I just don't know if I can deal with all 4 of them in the back of my wife's van asking are we there yet? Do you think they would keep quiet if I played a Tour de France DVD for them? Is there any news on the Open House this year?
