This is my dad's mid-80s Ochsner. It's Athena from whatever year Athena came out. Looking for replacement blocks. The guy at the LBS says the only option is NOS.

Will these not work? http://www.koolstop.com/english/campireplacement.html

save yourself the trouble, and get a set of modern pad holders loaded with new pads from jagwire or others. they'll work just fine in those calipers.

Sure, that's an option. But he would ideally like to keep it looking stock.

The pads in your link will work. I have them on a similar set of brakes. Much better than 25+ your old crusty dried out pads.

So here are my dad's pads. See how the block has a threaded part? Doesn't look like the Koolstops have that part... At least not the pictures I'm finding online.

I believe that you'll find that the threaded part is just inserted into a relief in the brake block. If the ones that you purchased don't have that relief then it's easy enough to make one with a knife.
