So I have a pair of old Mavic Cosmic carbon clincher wheels - the ones that don't really use a carbon fairing, rather it looks like plastic with a carbon finish. Heavy but fun wheels to ride.

I'd like to remove the yellow mavic decals from these wheels but they won't peel off - best you could do is pick at them piece by piece which I think would take forever. Does anyone know if acetone or something similar would remove the decals without harming the fake carbon fairing???

Thanks!

adhesive remover helps if its just really sticky decals. if its under the clear coat people tend to use carbolift. if it is real carbon and the decals are painted u can use a sanding process and re clear coat. \

if you do not want them to look like a half ass job probably dont remove stickers

stop...

Find out what the material is first...

The same things that are safe for one material will QUICKLY melt another.
