This summer I am planning a trip to ride the major French Alp climbs (Alpe d"Huez, Galibier, Glandon, etc.). Currently, my bike is setup with 50-34 and 11-28. I think I should have 11-32 in the back.

Are the post-2012 10-speed Wifli rear derailleurs compatible with pre-2012 Red or Force shifters? or should I use a SRAM MTB rear derailleur? Which one?

Def! Ive used pre era Force shifters with X9 rear mech on a CX bike after a branch ate up my force mech in the woods. MTB mech was a bit more sloppy and slow but it worked fine enough.
