Looking for a print, preferably from a one day race, but I'm really not picky as to event as long as the picture is nice.

I'm partial to this pic from the Strade Bianche race, but don't know if it is available as a print. I've looked at Graham Watson's site, but find it a little complicated to navigate, unless you're looking for a specific cyclist.

I'd prefer (I think) a picture that focuses on the course/route/peloton, as opposed to a single rider, and I'm not opposed to go black/white. I actually remember seeing a great black and white print of a deserted intersection in Belgium that (I think) was part of the Ronde.

Maybe a bit off your selection criteria, but Rouleur had some fantastic reproduction Peace Race posters that would look great framed.

What about a classic like Lemond at the World Championship:

Overstock.com (http://www.overstock.com/Sports-Toys/Greg-Lemond-1989-World-Championship-Poster/2662377/product.html) is selling them for $14.

Or artwork like the Bridgestone Cycles poster. I have one in my office and it always gets a lot of compliments. There's one on eBay for $50.

Your second print can be whatever you like but the first one has to be Merckx. Itsa rule.

My first choice would be a print or poster of this photograph by Henri Cartier-Bresson.
http://www.csmonitor.com/var/archive/storage/images/media/images/2010/0503-weekly/0503-lcartier-01-henri-cartier-bresson-hyeres/7770799-1-eng-US/0503-LCARTIER-01-henri-cartier-bresson-hyeres_full_600.jpg
I have selfish reason for posting this reply. I would like a print of this photo and I think it can only be purchased from an official source as designated by the heirs of Cartier-Bresson. I may have misremembered also so if so anyone knows how to get real Cartier-Bresson photographs, do tell. I'd pay any reasonable price for this photo as it is appealing on many different levels.

In Focus Blog (from The Atlantic) does a few great sets from the Tour every year. I think it culls mainly from AP Photos, so not sure how/where you'd get prints, but there are always some really spectacular photos (although it appears they didn't do one in 2013):

The Strade Bianchi photographs really well. The terrain, dust, mass of the peloton and caravan. For an office setting I like a photograph that would make a non-cyclist pause and gaze because something both beautiful and major is represented.

In my mind, a print of Eddy beats all of them. I don't know if this is available in a HQ print, but I love the way Eddy looks like he's picking a line to beat the horse:

There's always the iconic "smokers", "drinkers", etc. posters. http://www.excelsports.com/main.asp?page=7&major=3&minor=8

This one from Graham Watson isn't too bad - http://grahamwatson.shop.sportstoday.com/Product.aspx?cp=39280_53646&pc=9WAP58

Though I wish I could find this one in a poster....

Some of my photos are visually interesting, but the quality (taken on a cell phone) and lack of composition would make them look amateur, I'd fear.

That is a cool one. I've seen others from the same maker, not exactly a photograph, but I like the style.

That graham watson one is actually pretty damn cool.

For those saying "Eddy!", I hear you. I have seen some great pics of him in the past. Although, this one of Coppi and Bartali might trump even Eddy.

A few others I've found on Graham Watson's site:

The Hanover area is sufficiently picturesque - I'd get a better camera and start snapping.

It would be pretty neat to do this with your own pics. You might not be a Graham Watson or a BB Dave, but you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that it's your own work.

Better yet, invite folks from the forum up for a ride with the goal of taking some pictures from the road. I got invited to the "Doc ride" a few years back which leaves from the Hanover Inn before sunrise. Coaching the Harvard team and starting about the same time near the city I get to see traffic and potholes (the ones I don't see I feel) and if we get far enough west maybe a tree or two. On the Doc Ride we went into Vermont and climbed a hill that topped out above cloud cover. From there we could see all the other mountains sticking up as the sun came up while the rest of the world saw a grey and cloudy day. I'm not one to complain about where I'm riding 'cause I like to be on my bike, but damn, if you can't find an inspiring image out there you're just not trying hard enough!

I was curious about this so I did a Google search and found magnumphotos.com as a possible source. I inquired about a print of this photo and got this response:

"Thank you for your interest in Cartier Bresson's work. At this time we do not sell any prints by this photographer. If you are interested in work by any other Magnum photographers please let me know and I will be happy to help. Signed prints by Cartier Bresson sometimes come up at auction for prices between $10,000 to $50,000."

Yikes! I think I'll use my $10-50K on bikes and parts instead.

Try a shop. They might have posters that are outdated for whatever reason and they are about to toss it.

Also after a trade show hit up a shop. They inevitably get doubles of some of the hand out posters.

I put pictures up around the bike room using tradeshow posters. These pictures are from a few years ago but the stuff on the wall is still up on the wall. I tried to get signed ones so all of them were autographed. Of course the one I like a lot isn't signed - the ONCE one.
