new production TA pro vis V crank problems.

I purchased some new production pro vis V (cyclotourist) cranks and a 125mm TA axix bottom bracket from Euro Asia imports. I did not do the original install (the bike came built) but after a month or two I started to get an annoying creak in the bottom bracket region. I took the whole bottom end apart and cleaned and greased it, then when installing the parts I realized the cranks were totally bottomed out on the taper. After some measurements and a bit of research it looked like the bottom bracket had an ISO taper and the cranks a JIS taper. Long story short, I ordered a white industries JIS taper bottom bracket and it has fixed all my problems. Strange about them switching the taper on the cranks.
I guess what I trying to say is-

If you buy some of these super expensive cranks make sure to get the right bottom bracket :)
