When I was in Salzburg last year the city was starting the preparations for this years 250th Mozart birthday party, a huge thing for them. Much of the Altstadt, 'Old City', of Salzburg is as it was when Mozart lived there. I had coffee and pastry at a cafe established in 1702, near his home. (that's it on the bottom of the blue building)

For those interested I would recommend Maynard Soloman's 1995 biography of Mozart. (Soloman has written interesting studies of Beethoven as well.) This book isn't easy going but it brings life and the technicalities of music together, if that's your gig. Word has it that Mozart would have ridden a CSi with a steel fork.

Amadeus certainly would not have liked the damped, non-resonant sound of a carbon frame.

I think he'd appreciate anything supported by strings. Okay... fibers, but let's not split hairs.

Amadeus certainly would not have liked the damped, non-resonant sound of a carbon frame.

If Mozart were here today, he'd ride one of these.

Wasn't he in Oingo Boingo???

Or...

Was it Wall of Voodoo???

I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
And the touch of a world that is older
I turn the switch and check the number
I leave it on when in bed I slumber
I hear the rhythms of the music
I buy the product and never use it
I hear the talking of the DJ
Can't understand just what does he say?

I'm on a mexican radio. I'm on a Mexican - whoah - radio

I dial it in and tune the station
They talk about the U.S. inflation
I understand just a little
No comprende, it's a riddle

I'm on a mexican radio. I'm on a Mexican, whoa-Oh, radio
I'm on a mexican radio. I'm on a Mexican, whoa-Oh, radio

I wish I was in Tijuana
Eating barbequed iguana
I'd take requests on the telephone
I'm on a wavelength far from home
I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
I dial it in from south of the border
I hear the talking of the DJ
Can't understand just what does he say?

I'm on a mexican radio. I'm on a Mexican, whoa-Oh, radio
I'm on a mexican radio. I'm on a Mexican, whoa-Oh, radio

Radio radio... Radio radio... Radio radio...
I'm on a mexican radio. I'm on a Mexican, whoa-Oh, radio
I'm on a mexican radio. I'm on a Mexican, whoa-Oh, radio
Radio radio... What does he say ?

William  ;)

I am excited.......I am going to Salzburg with a church choir and my violin
in June. Lots of great music and artistic atmosphere!!
This is truly a musician's paradise.

Yes.... Wolfgang rides a CSi, because it rides GREAT like GREAT music is performed.
