there's some thinking gone into the structural aspect of that. The only reasoned question is 'why'?

Because I can

Why the redundant second fork blade?

Good question, I would think a single sided fork would of complimented the rest of the bike quite nicely.

I'm guessing the standard fork was a cost issue. The rest of the frame could be built from pretty cheap materials to get that effect, but a "lefty" fork would require a special hub/wheel, which might cost more than all the other materials together.

Its artful. I appreciate that about custom bicycles, the ability to combine art and function into one machine.

"The only reasoned question is 'why'?" why build an art bike? if it looks unique someone might copy the photo and put it on a bike enthusiast website and spread your name. I went to the austin NAHBS show and the amount of attention the art bike by CHERUBIM BY SHIN-ICHI KONNO got makes the effort worth it. looks like fun.

Hi my name is Milan and i am from Novi Sad - Serbia. This is my bike,it tooked me about 6 months to built it from a drawing on a concreet (thats for black one) and also my first built bike from an old city 28 bike.... My English is little poor ... sorry for that. You can also check out our other bicycles on facebook , we call our selves singlespeedcustom,we just started building bicycles. Love to make some fixie but prices are preety high in these parts so we use what we can. As soon as we got our hands on some aero rims and hubs for fixie we shall send photos too. Tnx for your time to watch these pictures.

Why the redundant second fork blade?

It just needs a Lefty, all will be well.

What is the torque arm on the rear hub for? Is this a single speed with a coaster brake? And what crankset is that?
