Quick question...

I have a DA 7900 FD, Ultegra 6700 brifters, Ultegra 11-28 10 speed cassette, CDale Hollowgram SL crankset. Can I use a DA 9000 RD?

The DA7900 FD nor the 9000 RD are compatible with 6700 shifters.

Well I'm using a DA 7900 FD with 6700 shifter and I'm having no issues.

Ok but the 9000 and 6800 ders are not compatible with any 10s shifter.

B10, I read a few pages of your 43 page thread on bike forums. Yikes!

Is your SS a hi-mod?

lol, you talking about my wheel thread? No its not. I'm looking forward to an Evo or Canyon Aeroad for my next bike.

Yeah, need a shimano 9s MTB rear der. If the cogset isn't too big, a 6703 or 7803 'medium' cage.

You might be surprised. The EVO wont be as stiff as you expect it to be.

Both of these guys were mine. Neither were as stiff (objectively and subjectively) as a Super Six Hi-Mod.

The Shimano DA 9000 rear mechanical is not compatible with the 10 speed shifters. It came striaght from the Shimano Reps mouth at my local bike shop

Could you see his little forked tongue when he talked?

Kidding, the local shimano outside guy here is really good...

The FD isn't either.

That new front derailleur is seriously tempting me to get back to Shimano parts.

My 8/9/10 wheels are gonna be incompatible so it isn't gonna happen any time soon.

The front der action on 9000 and 6800 is nice BUT to get the whole experience, gotta use their $20 per inner wire der cable. No better than properly setup 11s Campagnolo ultrashift, IMHO..but nice.

I see sram is about to announce their 1by cross group...I guess if ya can't get the FD right, just eliminate it.
