This month's edition of RIDE magazine has a review of a Serotta Concours CS.

Needless to say, the bike got a good write-up but the interesting thing, for me at least, was Serotta's comments about the jig RIDE uses to test frame flex.

Copied from the article...
"It's very exciting to see this level of consideration in a bike magazine," wrote Serotta's Director of R&D, Jason Clark, after seeing RIDE's jig. "We have always put a high premium on testing both on the bench and in the field. We have extensive testing protocols that we follow for each of our frames, both destructive and non-destructive." Clark plans to replicate the jig at the company's HQ.

This edition of the mag reviews some cool bikes, Look 585, Cervelo Soloist Carbon, Pinarello F4:13, Cinelli Estrada and (don't laugh, it looks like a fantastic deal for a "chuck it down the road" race bike) GT Ultra. Y'all should check it out.

1c -

I think they are talking about RIDE magazine from Europe, not THE RIDE magazine that Richard Fries publishes out of the Boston area.

If you're not confusing the two, sorry in advance.

Hey,
To Get RIDE in the US I believe that www.cyclingnews.com does shipping of a subscription to the US. And after just checking it, it does do it.
Check out: http://shop.cyclingnews.com.au/Cyclingnews/catalogue/category2/product2

Enjoy, it's a great mag and the guys who run it are fantastic too!
Regards,
Scottie.

Sorry cs, I knew it came from somewhere that spoke a language similar to ours!

Given that 1centaur lives near me, and that we have a very nice magazine called The Ride that focusses on cycling in the northeast US which is published locally, I wasn't sure if he was getting confused.

Do they have these $18 per issue gems inside a locked case?

Ive always enjoyed their bike tests because they test the static stiffness in the major areas. Many times a supposedly noodly ti bike (Passoni for instance), is the stiffest. My favorite mag.
