There seem to be a lot of OT posts lately, I've even been guilty of one or two. Have we discussed everything bike-related already?

That is part of the answer. Another part, in my opinion, is that this forum is really a community of people who really respect and admire others that visit here and have found that any initial post in a thread, when given in a repectful and sincere manner, will generate many remarkably insightful, articulate, helpful, and knowledgeable responses. You ask the question and you get the answer. Sometimes many answers. Most all of them smart (me excluded).

Yep, a very bright, helpful, caring, and knowledgeable community.

I think that it is time again for a group hug (not you William).

Yesterday e-Richie gets crucified for posting a Jesus link. Today e-Richie is referred to as the Pope.

It's definitely winter!

hadn't you noticed that the topics have been the same since the time of the wheel, and, as time went on, different people emerged and discussed those same topics, and now, apparently, the forum has run out of different people, so to speak, hence the universal forum solvent, the OT T, has taken its rightful place in the living organism known as the Serotta forum. BTWFWIWIMHO bro, it's better than the same old.

used to be the same on the cr list. since 1999, we discussed
everything. no stone was unturned. yet every few months, a new
15-20 members "discovered" vintage and it was off to the race
with the same old questions and threads. the thing is, it's
encouraged to keep the chat down and discuss only "on topic"
stuff, but the reply of "...the answer is in the archives. please
use it-that's why it's there" often bruised a few listmembers
who wanted to beat something to death for the umpteenth
time atmo imho yo.
