Funny clip. Some of the temps today in the middle of the country were just ridiculous, scary actually. That polar vortex ... sheesh.

I used to work in that. -45 was the cut off for outdoor work on the flightline. I was in Alaska for Christmas for work and it was -40 to -48 for a hand full of days in a row but because the winds were very low it felt way more tolerable to work in than say a typical January day in Minot... -35 with 20-30mph winds. North Dakota is a special place but I had to make it work. All time coldest temp I went out on a bike was -18 plus wind chill.

Going out with a studded tire commuter is ok, as long as you have the proper gear on hands, feet, and face. Fatbiking in winter? We have a criterium on the frozen river.

However my road bike hangs for 4 months a year.
