So tempted to do this... but so complicates my allegiances and pleasure while watching the games.

My hope is for a patriots vs. sea hawks super bowl, played in a blizzard in New Jersey.

This weekend I'm taking Colts, Eagles (not comfortable with this one), Chargers, Packers. I look for upsets during the play-offs.

Easy. Just pick the teams you want to win. Not the ones you think will win.

Exact opposite of me, chances are we'll split.

I joined - why not. I don't watch much football these days, but with the way the league seems to be now, it's unpredictable week to week anyway. Did the wind pick up on that one pass? Were two plays made? It's such an Arena league game anymore that the idea of predictable consistency is, I think, much diminished.

Carolina is playing good defense - and refs let the defense play in the off season...I think they have a good chance.

That Saints offense is good, and Brees is just superb. Congrats Saints fans!

Tough loss, but I'm excited about this team's potential. If they can get some safetys and another weapon, we might really contend down the road.

Me too. It will require a Rodgers that doesn't make that key mistake late. Any residual rust from the inury and time away will likely show here. Hoping he is 100 percent.

I think folks are really underestimating Carolina...and I don't think Seattle is a lock to beat them. This time of year the team that can get after a QB seems to win - Carolina can get after a QB. I also wouldn't overlook NO - that's an MVP Bowl winning QB, in a dome.

All 4 of these NFC teams can play and win...I think any of those teams beats whoever the AFC rep is.

I like the niners and I'm pretty worried about Carolina next week. When they beat the niners at Candlestick this year they looked like the bigger, more physical team. On the positive side we have Crabtree back and Kap is playing much better now than during that part of the regular season. Carolina's secondary will determine how many points the niners can put up. Frank Gore probably won't be much of a factor against Carolina's run D. It's up to Kap -> Crabtree/Boldin/Davis.

I'll take Seattle over NE in the SB.

I'd be with you, but the weather in Denver isn't supposed to be bad... I think 43 degrees. If it were colder, I'd have much less confidence in Manning.

I'm in a week by week Vegas-run pool with some Pats fans and when the Chargers played the Broncos a few weeks ago, 96% of betters took the Broncos, but I took the Chargers… I was very proud of that. I think the Chargers look pretty good and they have history with Manning. The Ravens took them out last year, and no one thought that was going to happen, either. (Granted, it's impossible to predict who's going to get hot in the playoffs year by year.)

My prediction is that Peyton will take apart the Seattle defense. It will take Seattle a while to get the deer in the headlights look past them and start playing. Experience against youth (for the most part) for Denver and Youth against a less than up to par defense for Seattle.
Denver by 7.

Nope. In my mind, he was allowed to mouth off in the heat of the game. But in post game interviews he said it all over again. Which post game interview would you rather your kids listen to. He is going to have to eat crow for his big talk. Probably in two weeks. He should have kept his mouth shut. I really hope they stick a mic in front of him after the SB.

Aaron O

I'm not sure he's going to eat crow - I wouldn't want to play this guy. I think Seattle can win this if they hang in the 1st half. If Denver can't establish the run, even Manning will have problems with these guys.

That's the first scary defense I've seen since the 2000 Ravens.

I have my seats reserved at the Cabo Cantina in front of the big screen Sunday. Local population seems to favor the 'Hawks, perhaps because more visitors from the Northwest here and few from the Rocky Mountain/Midwest area.

The league's best offense against the league's best defense, it's been a long time since this has happened at a Super Bowl. I'll call it 17 -14 Seahawks.
