Do people re wrap bars with it?
Typical tape stretches out on one side more than the other as it bends and follows the handlebar shape. I assume it's the same deal with handlebra but is it some how more elastic or something? I've tried reusing (nearly new) tape but it always turns out aweful.

It's been my experience that HandleBra is quite reusable. I've got some red 'Bra that's been on three different bikes and still looks good. When I unwrap the tape I mark it left and right and which end is the start so it goes back on pretty much the same.

Yes. Reusable and easily rewrappable, if reusing it on the same bike.

And it weighs about 107 ounces.

In my experience most bar wrap is reusable as long as it doesnt break easily. Just wrap tight and use electrical tape at the end.

You obviously have not tried Cinelli standard cork! It's my favorite tape, but it sticks like hell and doesn't come off easily. Cheap though, and works for me in spite of that...

Or, you can go one step further and wrap Handlebra over top of Cinelli cork tape. Makes for a very comfy set up.

A smidge more than six and a half pounds? I'll pass.

Yes .... HB is re-usable ....

Actually some people prefer their old used HB to a new wrap.
I kid you not. (this is not good for sales ! )

I recommend wrapping over hockey tape. This provides a nice underlaymen.

Use cheapo cork for more of a cushion effect.

At NAHBS, I tried giving Chris Igleheart a new wrap.
He got real upset at me .... He just kept transferring his old
wrap from bike to bike.

At NAHBS, about 50% of the people loved this .

Use cheapo cork for more of a cushion effect.
At NAHBS, the other 50% of the people loved this setup.

Six pounds? Get outta here!!:) It may weigh a little more than cork wrap but it feels and wears so much better....and lasts a heck of a lot longer.

I followed Ray's instructions and wrapped HB over some hockey tape and just unwrapped my bars yesterday. The HB came off wicked easy and should be like new to go on some new bars in a few weeks.

I actually do the hockey tape underwrap myself, and even then, it sticks, but not so much that I can't pick the remnants off of the hockey tape. I put up with it because I just like the feel of the Cinelli cork. Go figure.....

After four years of re-use, I gave up on my first roll of HB...:D
