The stem build looks pretty sleek on this Racer, though I don't know how I feel about the brakes under the stays... Other than that I like the flow of the lines on this baby. Production model has a standard stem on the website.

Afraid of a little knee-jabbing there? ;)

It is probably why the stem didn't make it to production :)

I love the lines of that bike though.

Looks good, although I'm not crazy about the stem and the color on the fork.

Now that is how a steel frame should look. Very sweet.

I do like the fact that they aren't afraid to experiment and they have some very nice rides on their website.

CHERUBIM by Konno Cycleworks (Shin-ichi Konno)
Founded in 1965, CHERUBIM represents the history of custom frame building in Japan. Three Konno brothers and their frames, CHERUBIM, 3Rensho and Miyuki, led the early age of the frame building industry in the country and CHERUBIM is the only surviving brand with the family tradition. CHERUBIM was the frame supplier for the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games. More recently, CHERUBIM frames, embodying decades of ongoing research and uncompromising craftsmanship, won seven consecutive Best Handmade Bicycle Awards from 1998 to 2005 in the prestigious annual show sponsored by the Japan Cycling Association. Under the leadership of Shin-ichi Konno, chief builder and son of Hitoshi Konno, the founder, CHERUBIM continues to live by its founding spirit of achieving a fusion of innovation and tradition and eagerly look forward to presenting our frames and bicycles

To me the stem on the red bike just looks out of place on an otherwise all carbon build, I like the black one a lot better.

I tore my sac on a Deda stem years back. Nothing sharp for me in that spot since.

The frame is all steel. Also that gorgeous stem absolutely belongs on it. I wouldn't be worried on the stem, or getting hurt on it.
I saw the bike in person at NAHBS. It's stunning!

He makes some incredible bikes/frames. His eye for design is just speechless.

Every road bike pictured except for the Road Star, has Campagnolo on it. Japan is a VERY large market for Campagnolo, bigger than the US, I think...

Up there with Germany, Belgium..larger than Italy, I am sure.

Asia in General is huge for Italian products. They are the second largest market after the US for Ferrari and Lamborghini. They love anything italian and or with the Tricolore on it.

Oh and just stunning bikes.

no, i actually haven't been their current location since the move.
