Holy Crap!
I've been saying forever that Rapha stuff is "The Emperor's New Clothes". Sweet Mother of God they are actually trying it!

(if you don't know the tale, read below)

When do you need something that thin during a bike race? I understand racing in hot weather but why not just wear a super fine mesh baselayer with thin jersey? Some science behind these clothing "developments" would be awesome.

pretty soon we're going to cross over into marginal losses.

Obviously a ploy to leave the poor chap with a "Sky" logo sunburned on his stomache.

Imagine going over those mtn passes in the Giro. They'll have to grab more than newspaper to stuff down the front of their jerseys for the way down.

I wonder if they will have one in my wife's size.

So.....not all that different from Castelli's Inferno bib short and climber's jersey that came out last year (which they recommend sunscreen underneath given how thin it all is).

Great if you want to see more of Ryder Hesjedal than you ever wanted to.

The venom for Rapha is funny sometimes.

I think we're gonna see a repeat of a Specialized type C&D here. Doesn't Right Said Fred own the rights to that look?

I saw that on cyclingnews yesterday. The Sky unis and the new Belkin Bianchis are the worst bike fashion faux pas at the moment.

You don't mess with the CELESTE!!!

Don't go getting your fishnets in a twist now over some deserved Rapha wisecracking.

I'm not. It's just funny to watch people get bent out of shape about this stuff when they're clearly copying what Castelli's already done, and folks didn't spend two pages (and going) with terrible jokes on their products that are equally ridiculous.

I think only Cippo would be cool enough to pull that off.:)

If I had seen Castelli's version of this, I would have posted it... it deserves to be ridiculed. Wear sunscreen underneath your shorts.... c'mon.

My post was about Team Sky, Chris Froome's nipple -- not Rapha.

Okay, that's a pretty ridiculous skinsuit. But it's not the first bit of kit that's virtually transparent. I took my snazzy new Castelli Body Paint bibs for a ride last week in Florida, and after an hour-long rain shower certain bits were really quite visible. I love my other Castelli kit, but these aren't the ones to take into a mid-ride coffee stop!

Apparently Rapha bought up all of the recalled Lululemon tights and turned them into skinsuits.
