Kobe knows how to drive the "lane", sometimes he just doesn't realize that the "lane" does not want to be driven.

I was a die-hard Laker fan since I was 8 in 1967 until Kobe DESTROYED a great franchise. 81 points in a game doesn't surprise me given the self-centered and egomanical person Kobe is.

You need to tell me more. Who is Kobe Bryant? From his first name, sounds like a Japanese person.

Yeah, Kobe's teamates must love him.

You mean someone OTHER than Kobe exists on the Lakers? Better not tell Kobe or they'll be gone too, after all we can't let any detract from the "Kobe Show".

I guess it is because they are saying it about someone who has never posted on the forum and probably never will.

Maybe it's because we're saying it about an overpaid, overhyped, swelled head egotist who doesn't know the meaning of the word "team". Now the Pistons, on the other hand... :)

The pistons are just overpaid, overhyped, swelled head egotist who have two fewer rings than Kobe.

So far...
I bet they go to more championships in the next five years than Kobe does...
If they're so overhyped, why are they the best team in the league, yet don't get allstar votes?

pistons? didn't they chase the fans in the stands?

shaq-d

as per my namesake, shaq's the best bball player when healthy. by a landslide. as for kobe.. well, the only shooting guard who should be getting all the points is a shooting guard that has to be leagues better than anybody else on his team, including passing; and that was jordan. not AI, not kobe, not mcgrady, etc.

basketball is a game of positions; and a team with an awesome centre will always beat a team with an awesome guard.

Not a Kobe fan (self-centered egomaniac...), but I had to respond to shaq-d's comment that Shaq is the best player when healthy. Actually, Shaq is the second best player on his team. Might also be the second best in the league if he ever gets healthy.... Kid named Wade makes everyone around him better, turned Miami from the dregs back into a payoff team (before Shaq ever came to Miami), and will NEVER develop the ego to get into the quasi-marital squabble that marred Shaq's swan song in LA (probably more Kobe's fault than Shaq's, but still...). And when Shaq was injured in last year's playoffs, Wade almost singlehandedly willed Miami past Detriot. Problem is that Miami traded the farm to get Shaq, then he promptly got injured. Get the man some help, Pat Riley! Surround him with a supporting cast like Jordan had, and you will get rings.

Wade really is an incredible talent, and seems to be improving. He almost seems unstoppable at times. He has remarkable quickness, balance, agility, jumping ability,..

As of the start of this season not a single "superstar" wanted to play with Kobe and L.A. By next year or maybe even playoffs this year some other superstar level player will want to join Phil and Kobe in LA.

Ron Artest maybe? If Jackson believes that he can control Artest the way he handled Rodman then he would try.

Heck, at this point Indiana would be doing great just to get Kwame for Artest.

I'd take Kobe, Artest, Odom, against damn near any other starting three in the league and give them some chance to win.

what's a service mark?

same as a trademark, except used to specify services of a provider, as opposed to goods. the mark is "SM" , presented just like the "TM"

so, putting aside the underlying socio-psycological reasons why a resident of south carolina would want an enforcer to "say hi" to an educated black man and "scare him a little bit", Jeff Ruland could apply a service mark to his "Enforcers-R-Us" business and market his services and distinguish himself from the other thug-a-ramas out there.
