Cold a bit of slush, very wet after the storm here on Long Island.

Crappy thirty miles in the wind and cold (cold for here, I mean). I kept telling myself, "I do rides like this so I can do better rides when the weather is nicer," but it didn't really work. I was kind of miserable.

. . . at the local YMCA for two hours. Much warmer and less snow than outside, and the new-to-me instructor had a really good music lineup. 1439 calories burned, which gave me ample excuse to order the large beer at Ruby Tuesday's. :)

I hope the softshell gilet was involved and you felt suitably epic.

6 mos off the bike, but rode today very gingerly. Rode my De Rosa Primato, and damn, did it feel good. I may try to hurt myself tomorrow. The forecast is 76* and 6mph winds ;)

First ride above freezing in two weeks. Northwest rain we call drizzle for 30 miles. Got home dried out and guess what the sun came out! Oh well, at least the roads weren't icy and below freezing.

A little fresh snow overnight and we rode 8 miles along the river bottoms.

It's turning into an every weekend date with friends.

Fatbike on snow - 1.5 hours and 1000' vertical.

After the freaky cold of last weekend we had freaky warm this weekend - it was 45° today or 50° warmer than my ride last Sunday.

Yow.

You are telling me its heavy! :)

Fun in our current snowy landscape though.

Also, the floods in the spring on the Mississippi do a number on the whole island. The county did a great job on landscaping, but the river always has its way.

In the morning I rode the snow shovel, snowthrower and the roof rake.
In the afternoon I rode the back country skis on beautiful deep powder snow.
I'd say I enjoyed the afternoon more.

Skiing was outrageous today.
Plenty of fresh powder, around 18F.
Covered about 4 miles with my wife and dog.
Our roads are in such poor shape right now it is going to be a while before I am on a bike again. Our hill looks like a snowmobile trail.

Weather here has been berry nice, late Fall heat wave, in fact, with highs in the low 80s.

Pasadena is berry nice. Lots of homes in the National Register of Historic Places. This is one:

Here's a shot that shows the world famous corner where all the cameras set up for the Rose Parade. I'm taking Florida State over Auburn, 42-37.

Today's ride was a super messy commute in Boston one way on a bilenky and the return trip on my Rocky Mountain sherpa. It's handy having a bike room at work that all but gets abandoned in this weather as it can double as a remote bike storage unit.

Even as much as I hate to ride rollers, I'd ride rollers before I'd have to dress for that weather.
