Circa 1994 I think. Another photo I have shows Cinelli bar tape. Since this was a pro team bike I'd think the bar and stem might be Cinelli too.

I'm pretty sure I have a Millenium bar in the basement, will have to check.

If you're right, this photo must have been taken several years after the bike was raced.

I have a pair of 3ttt Forma SL Ergopwer bars sitting around that match that profile as well. Must've been the profile du jour. If you need them for the build, let me know and you can have them for postage costs.

Super nice stem design, you were able to swap the stem w/o any problems.

Thanks for the replies. I dug out a 1994 mail order catalog to see what was available. I found several models with anatomic bends, including 3T Forma and Prima, Cinelli Eubios, and ITM Pro 260. Also the Modolo XTenos in a 1995 catalog. I think the bar in the pic has more of a palm bump than the Millenium has.

I'm not sure the stem is an Evol. If the groove was apparent it would be easy. Another stem that looks similar is the ITM Goccia. It has a distinctive lump on the backside top of the quill, but I can't tell if the pictured stem has it. The Goccia does have the angled opening for the quill expander bolt and black cap, which can be seen if you blow up the picture.

It's not a Goccia, which at a glance is flat across the top rather than gently curved. Also, the angled opening is flatter angled and more pronounced. And yes, the rear 'ear' is usually prominent.

Also the Modolo XTenos in a 1995 catalog.I'm pretty sure that the anatomic sections on the Modolo and ITM are at a different angle than on the 3TTT. The Eubios appears to be the same as the 3TTT. And doesn't the XTenos have angles on the bend from the tops?

I think the "8 bend" or whatever they called it version of the XTenos is the one you're talking about. I have one of those but never liked it.

And if I wasn't clear, the anatomic angle looks to me to be 3TTT/Eubios rather than ITM/Modolo.

I see what you mean about being curved. When I blow the pic up, it looks like the access hole for the expander bolt has a cap that's quite a bit bigger than the Evol has. Goccia is the only stem I found that looks close in that area.

Anybody know when the Evol was introduced? 2002 would be a logical guess, but maybe it's older. I can't find it in any old catalogs.

it's a modolo

Bar, stem or both? You could be right if you meant the stem. Could be a Modolo Extenos. I sort of eliminated it because I couldn't see the seam, but perhaps the pic just isn't sharp enough. Extenos has the right sized and shaped cap for the expander bolt, and is somewhat curved on top.

I agree about the anatomic section, 3T and Cinelli have more of a palm lump, the others are straighter in that area.

Here's the 6 bend:

Wondered if you'd chime in. Do you remember the year? I'm going to check serial number but haven't gotten to it.

It's not only that, it's the angle as well. I pay a lot of attention to the angle because unlike most here anatomic bars are my favorite -the 3TTT angle works for me and the other doesn't. The ITM/Eubios is like the one on the left, the Modolo/ITM closer to the one on the right.

But - I have seen some Cinelli anatomic that are angled like the right.

Thanks for the pic, I'd never seen a 6 bend version.

Kalloy sure looks similar, just seems unlikely on Euro pro bike. If you stumble onto a pile of them, I'd take a couple off your hands.

My guess would be modolo on both...just a guess though.

Did you buy the frame from Anthony or someone else?

From Anthony.

Do you know what year the pic was taken?
