I have the S-Track Race. It's a great pedal. More areas of contact with both cleat clip and shoe cleat than Time ATAC XC, and tons more contact than SPD. In the beginning it was tight clipping in & out, but became easier with time.

mtb?

I'm confused too. I take it they don't mean pedals for the track bike right?

Did you use Quartz Carbon pedal prior to S-track? Much difference?

Have been using 5 sets of Quartz Carbon on my bikes (road, XC, trainer) for 5 years with very good success. Q's rely on shoe lug contact for platform, where S uses narrower contact points of cleat and spindle bar (unless using removable cage).

To clarify, yes these are "mtb" pedals.
