"Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman has reportedly signed up for a role in the movie Stephen Frears is making about Lance Armstrong.

According to various media sources in the movie industry, Hoffman will join filming of the movie in the US. It is not clear which character Hoffman will play in the movie, which has still to be given a final title."

Isn't Tygart about forty years younger than Hoffman?

I would bet on Hein Verbruggen..

Would love to see Hoffman as Betsy Andreu. She wears a tee shirt of her hubbie, who was a doper, too LOL. Frankie? We'll need an actor with a built-in unibrow, or a Hollywood makeup artist to build the fur:

I can't stand that guy. Just irritates and pisses me off. Regardless of what he did good or bad, I knew this guy before all of this romp-crap. (Graduated from the same university as me) and he used to do Q&A's on tort reform and forced mediation.....just can't stand him.

I'm sure a lot of people like him personally. Just rubs me the wrong way.

Dustin Hoffman has been linked to bike movie projects for many years. This goes back to talk about making "The Yellow Jersey" by Ralph Hurne into a movie. Hoffman might have expressed an interest; movie rights were secured and then the project goes nowhere. Just like hundreds of other movie projects that go nowhere. Having read "Yellow Jersey" I never saw a movie worth coming out of that book but Hollywood is insanely good at taking nothing ideas and making nothing movies out of them.

Hoffman has had his head shot displayed as a client of Conrad's Bike Shop in Tudor City NYC for many years. Whatever his interest and activity in bikes happens to be, he goes about it discreetly.

You beat me to he punch, good memory. If I'm not mistaken, after Hoffman got too old, Tom Cruise was mentioned for the same part. Have to disagree with you though about the book, I couldn't put it down.
