Have you tried posting at mtbr.com? They have a retro mtn bike forum that's fairly active.

Amp lists that they have small parts still available. I would give them a call.

Wallyman- I am curious about the project.
I have not seen an Amp fork since 1996 or so.

Its for my wife's circa '94 MTB. i found an AMP F3 fork with 1" steerer i need (NOS!), but it's a disc-only model...i want to keep her bike as light as possible (reason for AMP fork to begin with) so i'd like to run these with her trusty cantis.

AMP said they ran out of the canti bosses many years ago, so i bought some similar clamp-on bosses by Identiti. trouble is they're for 1.25" dia legs, whereas the F3 legs are 1", so i got some Al tube-stock (ID=1", OD=1.25") to make shims.

still dont know if the taller fork will make the handling too wonky, but it'll be a fun project.
