Which would you consider the best floor pump in the market? Silca, Blackburn, Park.... (and what model)... Thank you.

I own a Blackburn TP-4 and it's the nozzle that troubles me sometimes. Other pumps I've tried have better nozzles but take more pump strokes to do the job. With the Blackburn I realize o-rings and gaskets and such need occasional replacing, and maybe it's the complexity of offering both schrader/presta compatibility that sorta mucks up the woiks. Maybe I could mix a Silca brass nozzle and hose with the Blackburn pump and have the bestest of all woilds.

It has worked flawlessly since purchase except for a little hinge pin which pushed out of the head. I emailed Topeak and no questions asked they sent out a new pump head. I like that it has a lever actuated pump head relative to my experience with silly Silcas.

silca anything
sure you can get parts but lets really lood at the life span.
first quarter of life: really tight on valve maybe even rippin those buggers off.
Second and Third quarter the thing decides to work.
and for the last quarter you need your best friend to hold the thing on.
so for me that = a pump with half life. :crap:

RE Talking pumps:
I don't think any are made with that option (yet)

My two and four year-old boys seem to like running into the garage to hold the silca brass onto the valves for me now. Hey, what are boys for? A little payback for those college funds.

Wife and I used to fight for the floor pump so I bought a second! Joe Blow and the fancy schmancy Park Shop model. Both are crazy good however Joe Blow is one heck of a buy.

Don't know that I would call it the "best" on the market. But my Airhammer has been excellent and solidly built. No plastic do-hickies on this puppy, and I can easily pump up to 160 - 180....not that I need too. ;)

When my expensive Specialized pump broke prematurely, I bought a 35 dollar Diamondback that the lbs used as their house pump. Third year no issues. Over the last twenty years I have gone through Blackburn, Silca, Specialized and now this cheap pump which with regular silicone spray in the head handles presta valves smoothly. Did I mention its cheap?

I recently replaced a 15+ year old Zefal floor pump with a Pedro's model that works exceptionally well.

Gave up on the Silca after the first few tries (who designed that chuck anyway?!). Bought the Specialized Air Tool Comp (aluminum barrel) for $40 and have been very happy with it.

and here I thought I was cool because I own a Silca Presta....... I have had it since 1999 without *any* problems but will admit it is a pain in the arse on threaded valves!
I'll have to check out the Specialized pumps next time I'm at the shop.

I LOVE Silcas (floor and frame). For the floor pump, get the outrageous head from Jitensha Studio. Super upgrade for any floor pump. All metal chuck that has an on/off lever and micro adjusts for the perfect feel.
For the frame, HPXs work better, but who cares.
