Looking to replace my record 10 compact rings sometime soon - does any retailer sell them for a good price? I'd like to stick with campy and not go the TA route quite yet.

It looks like most American retailers have them all at about the same price. For what its worth, it looks like super record rings cost about the same or less than, rotor q rings, osymetrics, or dura-ace 9000.

Edit: I missed your 10spd compact comment. It looks like a 10spd set is under $200 these days. Less than a dur-ace big ring.

Miche makes compact rings. They state that they are 110 bcd. Not sure if these are compatible with Campy's proprietary pattern

I bought Stronglight rings for my Campy Chorus compact crank from Ribble. They shift perfectly and are very smooth. Much less than half the cost of Campy rings.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesnt Record 10 compact (carbon, Ultra Torque) use the 110/112 BCD? Those stronglight rings suggest that they are 9/10 compatible, which makes me think they are 110 BCD.

The Stronglight rings that I purchased from Ribble fit the odd Campy 110 bcd. They would not fit true 110 bcd.

All hidden arm Campagnolo cranks, staring with compact and square taper BBs thru Ut and PT, use the 110/112 BCD.

TA, Campagnolo, like Centaur.....some NOS out there...11s rings will work fine also.

If you want to save you have to go aftermarket, or be lucky find a set here or at eflay.

What you can do is to get regular 110s (small ones) and dremel the 5th hole a tiny bit, never done it but a friend did and never got a single problem.

Dunno if somebody mentioned it but what record crank are we talking about? the one with the threaded chainring or the regular one? You can use regular campy 110/112 chainrings to replace the threaded holes ones but you have to use the bolts or another set or replace the back pieces for regular ones.

Remember 7 or 5 speed chainrings, those last forever....

Last time I went to replace rings it worked out that it was cheaper to get a new Record crankset on close out. I recently found that this was the case when my Super Record derailleur cage snapped, new replacement cage was $140 but a compete new Super Record derailleur (a 2010 white graphics one NOS) cost me $99 from Art's.

A new super record 11s rear der for 99? That was a bargain no doubt!

Front, it was FD-SR015 front derailleur cage assembly I needed. I just looked again on Google and the cheapest price is still more than I got the entire derailleur shipped for.

Watch out for the bolt type. There are a number of varieties. I seemed to get the right model for my carbon compact cranks from Stronglight but they ended up too thick to use both Stronglight rings at once (Type D and I have an Athena carbon 11).

Waiting on some TA bolts to see if they help. It's a mess.

Did you check with Euro Asia Imports?
