Okay, what are the dash numbers of the standard metric cap screw threads?

M4-?
M5-?
M6-?

For M4, I see .7 and .75, for M5 there's .8 and .9, for M6 there's .75 and 1.0. Which are the ones used on (virtually) all bikes?

thread pitch, one full thread every 0.7, 0.8 or 1.0 mm of length.

Uh-oh, isn't there a 5X1? Bottle bosses and like that?

Or have I been thinking they were some other size than what they really are, which is definitely possible.
