The time has come to part ways with the bike that has faithfully served me for the last two years of riding, racing, and exploring. This 2009 Supersix was the last year for MUSA made CDales. I am the 2nd owner of this frame and brought it back from a bit of a neglected state. Over the last 2 years it has been used for upwards of 10,000 miles of road riding with a small bit of racing thrown in. Never crashed or otherwise contacted pavement; the frame was damaged during a flight to Colorado in 2011 and subsequently repaired by Calfee. The water bottle cage on the seat-tube was not removed before I packaged it in a bike "bag" (soft sided) which led to it and the threaded bosses being ripped from the carbon. These cracks were repaired by Calfee and the entire seat-tube repainted black. I chose not to have the decals repainted due to the additional cost. If you like I will contact Calfee and obtain whatever documentation they have to prove repairs were done to their standards.

This bike would make an excellent racing bike or daily rider. I have never had any problems with it and can say it has been one of my favorite bikes to own. There are several reasons I am selling it, the primary being I am in a money pinch and need to replace my 8 year old Macbook. Beyond that I have a custom steel "race" geometry road bike that my friend and teammate built and the sensible adult in me sees no need to own two of essentially the same bikes. Thus I offer to you this exceptional piece of American craftsmanship. The crankset is original to the bike, but the chain-rings were upgraded to FSA C11 compatible rings and I recently acquired a 110 "compact" BCD spider to experiment with 52/36 Praxis rings.

What is included in the sale:
Supersix Frameset
- Size 60cm (geometry (http://www.irvinebicycles.com/images/products/extra/1124.gif))
- Thomson 31.6 black seatpost and collar
- FSA headset bearings (approx 1k miles on these)
- Campagnolo FD clamp 34.9mm

Hollowgram Crankset
- 175mm crankset arms
- 110 and 130 BCD Spiders
- 53/39 FSA C11 Pro Road chain-rings with approx 5000 miles on them. (These still show signs of life as I was using them with a new chain and cassette for 500 miles before I recently put on the new Praxis 52/36 rings)
- 2 sets of BB30 bearings (black are brand new generic brand, white are 1000 miles used FSA)
- BB30 Spindle, washers, and all associated hardware
- BB30 installation and removal tools pictured (basically everything except a headset press and bearing puller which can be homemade)

Praxis rings pictured installed on crankset are NOT included in the sale price

I have done my best to photograph the paint chips and scratches on the frame. They are typical of a bike its vintage, and a few hours of touch up paint and clear nail polish would sort everything right out. If you have any questions or would like to see detailed photos not shown please let me know. I also have a Retul fit for this bike so I can provide that info based on my body measurements for anyone unsure of how they might fit this frame. Basically I have it maxed out in several dimensions which was one impetus for the custom steel bike my friend made early in his building career.

I will ship via UPS or FedEx (if you have a preference) fully insured and packed very meticulously.
