Daughter got a new CAAD 10 this summer. It's developed a creak with every pedal stroke in the BB. LBS took it apart and says the bearing isn't sitting still and is turning in the BB. Not sure exactly what they did but sounds like it was glued in place. Now it's doing it again. Is this a known design flaw, a wrong-sized bearing, or ? Thanks for any help.

One of my buddies experienced the same problem... Lbs couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, so they had a cannondale rep come to the store and check it out... Cannondale rep said frame is defective, but ok to ride till they get him a replacement frame. He got the replacement frame after couple of weeks, and cdale took back the defective frame.

Definitely ask your lbs to get a cannondale rep to check out the frame in person.

What crank are you using on the frame? Creaks and tics are common on the BB30 frames, but with proper grease and the BB within Spec, it should be ok in good conditions. The BB shields do a pretty poor job of keeping moisture out in poor conditions though.

See Post number 2...bearing shouldn't be rotating in the frame., I suspect an out of tolerance BB shell.
