I happened across som e cross tire deals and have two sets to run. Can anyone tell me the pluses or minus of each and what you would run them for?

One pair is 700x 30C Michelin Cyclocross Mud 2 and the second pair is Ritchey Speedmax Cross 700x 35C. Are either or both suitable for both pavement and dirt? I'll be mounting them on my Budget Redline Conquest Pro frame. I'll be looking for a goliath on a Zanc..... :bike:

the mud 2 is the gold standard in cross clinchers. the speed max are popular for dry and hard packed courses.

Muds rule. Speedmax corner for ****. They are scary on pavement at high speeds.

I used to think muds rule until I tried a set of Schwalbe Racing Ralphs.

Now the muds are a close second.
