View Full Version : S-Works Roubaix SL4 with trigger shifters?

I can honestly say I've never seen a bike like that with trigger shifters before. It appears they're still running all the rest of the original components, just with flat bars & mtb shifters/brake levers. And plastic platform pedals. Interesting....

I'd say there's no danger of this selling at $3K any time soon.

Bogus ad. Specialized did not have an SL4 in 2002.

Looking at it further, I bet the individual just took the wrong picture.

It wouldn't shock me if he had some facts wrong, but it certainly doesn't look bogus.

That is definitely an all carbon S-Works Roubaix (SL4 or not) with DA wheels and components with trigger shifters and plastic pedals.

Considering he works for the state and gave his work email address and cell number (both bad choices).

11-speed flat bar shifters?

11-speed flat bar shifters?

On a 2002 bike.... I found that interesting as well. Maybe it's just a crazy person.

He also says "Roval Rapide CLX 40 wheelset" but it's clearly got DA wheels on it.

Maybe it's 2x9 and he calculated 2+9 to get 11 speeds.

Wow...what an idiotic ad!

someone who can afford it had his lbs set up a (very) nice flatbar cruiser/fitness bike. perhaps not too knowledgeable about bikes, but does know they want carbon and the "best parts"
not infrequent around here either. whether the ad's bogus or not, a quick call would quickly suss that out.

Just an older/nicer version of the current Specialized Sirrus Limited.

Plus the ads states that it is a "Roubaix" which it has no Zertz insets plus they did not make this model back in 2002
