Regarding selling Exalith rims as a stand-alone product, it just doesn’t make much sense from a pricing standpoint. The process is extremely expensive and the cost of a 32 hole rim would be exorbitant by comparison to other stand-alone rims. Further, the anticipated quantities would be too low to justify developing what’s essentially a new product (exalith rim drilled for standard spokes and lacing pattern).

Judging from their yearly shrinking rim lineup, I'm kinda surprised still Mavic makes rims at all, let alone a new one.
