My DA 7800 levers are dying and I understand if i go the 7900 route I must replace the front derailleur.
Will 105 10 speed shifters work with an all 7800 drivetrain or will I need a new FD?
Thanks for reading!

Will work fine.
I'm talking about the current 105 ST 5700 with cables under the bar tape. Still OK?

Yeah, I ran 6700 shifters for a few seasons.

Don't the newer 5700 and 6700 levers require a matching x700 brakeset due to the amount of lever pull?

In theory, yes.
In practice, the difference to the 6700 calipers was quite minimal.

Why not get a set of NOS 7800? I'll sell you mine for not much more than new 5700s.
