Got a KMC 11 speed chain for my Campy gruppo. Do these need a special tool like the Campy chains to remove rivets or can I use my regular Topeak chain breaker?

You need one of these ~$15

And a couple of these master links- ~ $5 each.

Your Topeak will work just fine. I use my expensive Campy 10 speed chain tool, but that is only because I paid way too much for it and I have to use it any chance I get. Those Park pliers are nice to have, but not really needed.

Campagnolo 11s chains don't need a Campagnolo tool to remove links.

Use any tool to shorten the chain..then use the link.

The link does require some force to snap closed (and pull open). I use needle nosed pliers.

Campy tool is needed to install a Campy chain with a Campy pin, though, correct?

Either Campagnolo tool or Pedros, Park both have 'peening/mushroom the pin end', functions. Others probably also/

KMC links and IRD links also, for 11s.

No tools needed to snap the linker (I'm talking non-campy here). In a bike stand, assemble the link , apply rear brake and use other hand to apply force to the pedal till you hear a click.

And yah that Campy 10s chain tool is great. It was $60 when I bought mine and it seemed like an incredible amount of money then. But compared to the 11s tool, it seems like a downright bargain now. Thank god for KMC and IRD links.
