I currently own more bikes than any sane person could ever find any use for. Gotta thin the herd, starting with this beautiful Pegoretti Duende. It is a size 62 with the so-called "Freuler" design with the lowered TT resulting in the extended HT and ST. The frame will include the 29.4 gold seatpost in the pic along with the custom painted (Joe Bell) Deda Stem, custom painted fork (again, JB) and Hope headset with CK spacers. Barrel adjusters and seatpost clamp also included. Nothing else in the pic is included. It's in near mint condition overall. (As new Gold Campy Shamal Wheelset will be available for $850 shipped.)
HT 22.8cm (this is trimmable, if desired.) HTA 73
STA 72
TT 59
ST length 59 C-C, 65cm Center to Top of ST. As with anything I sell here, satisfaction guaranteed or ship it back for a full refund.
This is an awesome frame for the taller rider, obviously. This is a big as the Duende comes, to my knowledge. SOLD!!! (to Forum member!)

It's named for Urs Freuler, a Swiss who raced on Colnagos back in the 80s. Big guy. Frames with regular geo were too flexy, therefore the funkiness.

It's basically equivalent to today's frame designs with a sloping top tube, in that the top of the head tube and top of the seat tube end up in the same place- but the top tube is horizontal, so it contacts the head tube lower down.

Right. Basically, it means a lowered top tube with longer (extended above the top tube) head tube and seat tube. It's a concept that Dario uses on his larger frames. Produces less flex and a frame that handles better overall. And hey, guys, don't worry...the wife will understand, especially when she sees this beauty when you un-box it. Jeff N.

Just for my information, does Dario use a reinforcing collar on the top of the head tube? AKA: can it be cut? Speaking for mybadself, the TT is right but the HT is about 4 cm too long.
Not really in the market right now, just info to store for later...you know... when I have money.

This ad really frightened me at first glance. I saw a Duende that would probably fit me withing a few miles of my home for $850. Uh-oh! Even though I'm thinking it's time to sell a few bikes how could I pass up such an opportunity? A second glance relieved my anxiety as the $850 was for the optional wheels. Whew! That was close. :)

Would you have to send the frame to Pegoretti in Italy to trim the headtube? How easy is it to do?

Would you have to send the frame to Pegoretti in Italy to trim the headtube? How easy is it to do?I would imagine a simple pipe cutter in the hands of someone competent would do the job, but I like it just fine the way it is...less spacers required for my needs..

Yeah, I mean, the Powerball drawing isn't until tomorrow night.

If someone were to buy my super pristine Atlanta I'd be all over that frame in a second and a half.

Good luck!
