Hey folks, don't hang me but the question is really simple.
I bought the 500 used and it's all set-up with tweaks that I am working on to my preference etc.

SO....What I want to do and I just seem to screw it up is simple.
When I start off on my "commute" in the morning do I
Hit Start and then LAPS? It seems to work fine. Well wehn I get to work what do I hit?

BUTTTT, On my commute HOME, I want to keep that as a NEW or sepearte ride and I do the same, but it registers this ALL as one big ride for the day.

NEXT, Can I sepearet one part of my ride from the entire ride? Meaning on my commute home, I like to do laps in the Park for 12-18 miles and want to keep track of THAT info more than the rest.

Your help is appreciated.

Press start when you leave -- don't hit lap/reset.

Get to work, hit start/stop. then press and hold lap/reset -- this closes the file.

when you leave, repeat. Two separate files. no gap in the middle.

when you're doing laps -- hit the lap button (again, don't touch start/stop) at the start of your lap -- if you're set to auto lap by position, everytime you pass the point you pressed the lap button, it'll register a new lap.
