Got my first wireless computer last season and it has ceased to work. When I take the head unit off and bring it near the sensor it works. Which battery is likely to be weak, the head unit one or the sensor one?

If the display is working the sensor battery is weak, however, I would replace both...

It is the sensor battery. However, at about $1.50 each they are worth changing and having a few in the tool box.

Replace the sensor and it worked no better. Replaced head unit battery also and its back up. Thanks:beer:

Always best to replace both at the same time. Also, I've been told if you let the bike sit with the cadence sensor near the magnet it will kill the battery. Can anyone confirm that?

As far as service life is concerned, wireless gear for your bike is roughly on a technological par with cell phones.

And you're on your how-many-th phone now?

Budget accordingly.
