I'm in my first cross race tomorrow and it's at 9 am. I have no idea how much time I need in advance to park and register and do whatever else one needs to do. I'm thinking if I get up there by 8 I'll be ok, but I definitely don't want to miss it. Anyone know from experience? Thanks

You wanna get there at least 2 races before yours so you register, ride the course when its open slowly, look at lines, etc. After that first recon, warm up. The race before yours, do a few hot laps, paying attention to choke points, etc. and feeling your way around the course. Continue warming up. Get to the line sweaty if possible because in CX the field sprint's at the beginning of the race and it determines your finish.

Sounds like 7 would be better. I'm glad I asked! I will likely be the slowest out there but I am just hoping it's fun.

You'll have plenty of time to pre-ride and get a nice parking spot at 7:00.
