23 clincher to 25?

can i run a 25mm tire on DT 465 rim? i have 23 tires now - wondering if i can go to 25 and give the local fire roads a try.

Very little difference in 23's & 25's. 25 is not a Monster Mudder.

42mm tires on 19mm rims- no problems.

Not all tires are the same (size wise) so it depends on what tires. Some might seem a bit fatter where others may not seem different at all. Rims not really an issue so much. What frame and fork?

Maybe just go ride those roads on the tires you have. :)
