I live and ride in Manhattan. How often should I use frame saver -- once per season, or more? Thanks for the advice.

just once I believe, certainly not yearly

If you've applied it properly and well, re-do every couple of years. More often wouldn't hurt.

No expert here, but like a lot of things, IMO it depends...

Lots of wet riding... annually.

Mostly dry rides (like me)... once may indeed do it.

But every 2-3 yrs would be cool, too. If it makes you sleep better at night.

I've been told with each tear down of the bike. That is as long as you aren't continually tearing down and rebuilding the bike.

I live in Washington state which is of course known for rain and both my bikes are ridden often I don't have a "rain" bike I have one with full fenders and one without fenders. So every two to three years I pull one or the other apart for a rebuild, cleaning, greasing, and re-spray with frame saver. The insides always look fine.
Have fun

Thanks to all. I tend not to ride my steel bikes in the rain or very wet conditions. Think I'll go with applying it once every two to three years to be on safe side.

^^This is how I've done it. And while it's down to the frame, I give it two coats with an overnight dry-time in between.

My CSI is coming up on 18 years old, and last time I looked, the internals were fine.
