I saw that Boulder was getting flooded and that a dam had failed. Hope all is well.

Seems like it's been raining for 3 days straight..some small local flooding, biz is quiet, time to catch up on a few things. Haven't seen the paper yet, hasn't come yet.

Rain is good, lots is pretty good but supposed to taper thru Friday..

Thanks for asking.

Ain't that the truth. It feels like we're having our winter now in Spring - storms and rain  It feels like the first real winter we've had in years.

Glad to hear you are ok. When in doubt, send Potter in the standing water first. Just make sure you already have his check!

Joking of course.

We can expect more extreme weather events in the coming years, especially as the arctic becomes ice free in summer (maybe in as little as 7 years). I spent some time in the NC mts this summer. Wettest summer in years due to positioning and persistence of the jet stream. Couldn't leave the house for almost a week. Several rides cancelled due to rain or threat of rain. Not fun. This followed 3 years of serious drought. The future does not look bright.

Saw the news this a.m. and thought of you first, Old P. Glad things are ok for you, but sounds like some tough stuff for others. When I head about some homes in Jamestown sliding off the hills I thought about the ride I did up there based on your recommendation.

Thoughts and prayers going out to those affected.

Drove around a little before getting in. Boulder Creek is ROARING...but only about 2-3 feet above where it normally is, few families evacuated, those really close to the creek..elsewhere, just raining..no standing water I saw. Lots of drains clogged up..I suspect once those are unclogged less water still.

Wife drove down to Broomfield to sit the grand daughters..nothing but wet.

Others places really wet, standing water..saw a video of 2-3 college kids(probably) riding their bike thru an underpass next to Boulder Creek..in about 3 ft of water...duh.....

When I heard that the Mail on Sunday ran a climate change article over the weekend, I knew it would be bad. But when I clicked the link and saw it was written by David Rose, I braced myself for the worst.

Man, sometimes I hate being right.

Rose is a guy who denies climate change in the way creationists deny evolution, and flat-Earthers deny the Earth is, well, not flat...

Onion-ish...

Al Gore, who has made so much money from this whole ozone thing, has a new idea to fix climate change. Gore offered the northern California crowd, "Heretofore, climate change has impacted our home, our Earth, and I believe, I can blanket, buffer, and bridge our ozone with my dollar bills, creating an umbrella from the sun's strong solar rays. No more shall I merely use marketing, alliteration, or iambic pentameter to address climate change. It's time for me to put money where it matters, back into the ozone."

Not kidding! Try looking at some material from reputable sources. The article below is from last year but there is no reason to expect that the long term trend is anything but negative.
