I remember doing a case study about auto manufacturers and how sensitive their profit was to swings in exchange rates. If you have costs denominated in once currency and revenues in another, you should probably hedge.

Or, you can do what Honda and many other auto manufacturers did, and do natural hedging... actually setting up your business so costs and revenues of a particular currency are balanced.
