garmin 810 screen visibility

i moved to the 810 from the 705 and noticed a drop in visibility. i can crank up the brightness which helps but something about the screen glare or contrast makes it more difficult to read in sunlight than the 705. is this a byproduct of the touchscreen or am i missing a simple fix?

I've noticed some fierce glare under certain light conditions and angles.

Ok. So I'm not crazy.
I guess I'll play around with the mount angle to see if that helps at all

Maybe try an anti glare screen protector?
