Got a color scheme going on with a new build and I'm looking for a road wheelset that's the color White

I know Mavics got the Equipe S in White....but those are solid trainers...I'm looking for a little more performance and less weight.

edit: Sept 1

Here's a few photos of the build with a Zipp 101 and a Mavic Equipe S for comparison......the Mavic Equipe Wheelset is 3oz. heavier than the Zipps, so not much differance there.

Have set built with white Velocity rims. I have had three such white sets built, all with silver spokes - one set with blue nips, one with silver nips, and one with. . yes. . gold, purple, blue and black nipps. Yeah, I have a problem. But them white rims look pretty. Roll good too.

White hubs? rim? spokes? all?

American Classic had some white offerings.

Yep yep!

I had a customer/messenger back in the day when I had a shop. He used to say something was the bomb, but it sounded like bong when he said bomb. So we just changed it to bong from then on.

Hence the bong reference on the DT hubs.

In factory built alloy wheelsets in white, DT Swiss has older models in white like the RR1850 at 1850 g or the Mon Chasseral at 1450 g (the Mavic Equipe S are 1690 g). They now have newer models geared to accommodate Shimanos move to 11v, such as the RR21 Dicut at 1460 g.

Fulcrum has some black/white wheelsets in their Racing series ,like the Racing Zero at 1430 g.

Of course, weight isn't the only factor to be considered in determining your performance goals, and handbuilts might be a clear alternative in tailoring to your needs -cost, durability, weight, etc. Velocity A23 rims come in white from 20 to 32 holes. DT Swiss have the 180 and 240S hubs in white, and Tune hubs can also be had in white.

Black...you got a lot of other black stuff on the bike...black would balance the build out a bit better.

With Tai on this, I too would go for Black wheelset on this bike.

Looks a nice build, thus far.

..."anchors" the bike. There's a lotta stuff happening here, and I personally think the white wheels take it over the edge into pimpy.

Yeah, the more I look at it, that bike needs a tone-down, not up. White tape, black tires, and all-black, no-logo wheels would be a good start.

+1 for black wheels... I would use black if this were my bike, but its not, do whichever makes you smile.

someone on the forum had some white w/ green logos ?Mercury? wheels a little while back that might be just the ticket if you have your heart set on white.

Edit: Here they are http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=132363

I have seen a lot of black wheels with white lettering/accents lately and really like them.

Thanks for all the input guys -

Yeah I think I'm going with the Zipp wheels

As for the Green tape - I had white on my last ride, so thought I'd try something differant - I'll go to White Cannondale logo tape (white tape with subtle green logos - it came on the 2013 cadd10 Force) when it comes to the stealers
