Assos

So i've got the Assos long sleeved body insulator (baselayer) in white (the 'fall' top with the crew neck). Would it work to have the new 'winter' top over it in cold weather, or would it be better to wear only the new 'winterplus' top (with a jacket or shell over it)?

can two baselayers work well together?

I've worn two baselayers together before under a shell. Though not Assos. Worked alright, but I really think it depends on how hot you run in the cold weather.
