In the comments section,

"I tried to do this, at least the hospital has Wi-Fi."

Going down the stairs is the easy part. Even I could do that but I wouldn't because the thought of damaging my bike just makes it unappealing. However going up the stairs the way he did with that kind of bike is impressive. Yes the comment about the hospital with wifi was very funny and relatable:p I also like how all things Youtube I start veering off to some other video with a vintage Chevy truck doing some mudding:p

I've seen several recreational "sport" mtb XC riders do stuff like that warming up.

I am way more impressed seeing Martyn take out the Sky Pinarello:

It was pretty "meh" for me. After seeing Danny MacAskill videos it takes some pretty nifty tricks to impress me.

At last year's Quebec City ProTour race, a unicyclist was going up and down some stairs next to the course that way.
Maybe he'll be back again this year and he and Peter can contest a sort of dual slalom.

Carl Sagan (astronomer) came up in a conversation I had the other day. For some reason, that stuck in my head and when I read the thread title, my brain replaced Peter with Carl, and I thought I was in for some astronomy lesson. Needless to say, I was confused for the first second of the video.

Going down stairs isn't hard to do, especially if your sponsor gives you a bike to do it on.... I wouldn't take my Kirk down stairs like that! Up stairs is cool. Better than I could do, that's for sure!

the point isn't that he's as good as MacAskill, it's that he's basically the best bike racer in the world, but has some fun trials skills, too. It's sorta like when people get all excited about a hot female tennis player; is she as hot as a Victoria's Secret model? no, but...

i would venture to guess that a lot of dudes in the pro peloton could handle a bike like that

esp if they came from mtb background...

Great marketing opportunity for both Cannondale and Pinarello, though they'd have to be legal-heavy with disclaimers.

Lot of misogynistic posts around here today. And, I see the point and am still not impressed. It's subjective.

That was really nice. I haven't seen that before.

The earlier one is quite good as well.

Cool Vid, thanks for sharing!

...How about Sagan doing Autographs.

Not exactly what she had in mind. This boy is gong to get himself in trouble at some point with that podium pinching and this sort of thing:

Well you have to account that if something crack (carbon wheels) he wont paid for them :D When the stuff belongs to you, generally you think it twice...

Waiting for him to win the road World title...

Oh, lordy. You need to look up the definition of misogyny. If I tell my wife she looks hot today, will she think I hate her?

back to Sagan: I think that vid is but a glimpse of his skillz...Ted King has said he's never seen anyone so skilled on a bike

Oh, lordy. You need to look up the definition of misogyny.

I have a good grasp of the definition. Your example was an obvious sexual objectification. I'm not saying you intended any offense, but I do think it's worth keeping in mind as there are female members of this list. I'm not trying to start a discussion on it, sorry. But that post in another thread about punching women in the face left a bad taste in my mouth.

well, misogyny=hate/violence in my book. objectification (yes, guilty here) is a different story. I never read the post to which you refer, but if it says what you say, well that is repugnant.

Sagan has some great bike handling skills. I haven't taken the time to look up his history, but I wonder what his life on 2 wheels consists of.
