2016 we will have super ultra over torque cranksets with one ginormous wide bearing in the middle.

Interesting design but the name seems to be a bad translation from Italian. Think, broken bolts.

So will these work on bikes with traditional bottom brackets?

BTW, I have yet to figure out the conventional wisdom on which systems are the most preferred these days (leaving aside those who prefer only traditional designs.)

It seems like campy is finally leaving the hurth joint behind. No surprise given the effort and cost to manufacture the ultratorque system.

Over Torque crank sets are designed for press fit BBs only (PF30, BB30, BB386)... UltraTorque still available for traditional threaded bb shells.
Haven't heard if an adaptor would be available if you really wanted to use a Comp One or Comp Ultra crank.

Don't forget to install these with the special Over-Torque Wrench.

No, the oversize BB spindle is 30mm in diameter, so there won't be any room
for any kind of cup to fit into the threads of an english shell which the inside is
only a few mm's larger in diameter.

This is the whole reason behind all the oversize shells, they are greater diameter
to make room for larger diameter crank spindles. The wider ones can
contain the bearings inside, the narrower ones can have the bearings outside,
but they all have to be larger diameter than standard BBs like English and Italian
threaded ones.
