For a friend and me, I purchased Shimano Ultegra 10speeds with a 30 instead 28 large cassettes. it seems to work on triple rear der.

But will have SPOKES look at it,

Any one who has tried this one please let me know

THANKS THe extra two gears (28 vs 30) will work well on Mt, Mitchell, (I hope):help:

On one of my bikes, I run a 10's Campy Record crankset with 30-42-52 with 12-30 rear cassette and med cage rear derailleur. I run little to little a tad slack, but shifts great in the gears I use. Upper pulley clears 30 just fine. Gives me that 1-1. Need it in places on way to Mt Mitchell. Those climbs get long.

Just put Ultegra 12-30 with Di2. Works great. I had an IRD 11-30 that did not work real well.

Wasn't the tooth count but the cogset. They just don't shift as well as Campag or shimano made cogsets.

I have installed many 12-30 onto shimano 10s systems, double, triple, compact, standard..never needed a longer cage on a double(standard or compact) rear der..plug and play.
