Anyone else going to the show at Roseland? My friend hooked me up with some meet/greet passes. They're playing Electric, an album which occupies my iPod when on the trainer all winter...

I met Ian Astbury after a show at the Orpheum in Boston in like 1987. Biggest cock in rock and roll (2nd to Pete Townshend) I've ever met. ···· that guy and his 'lizard king/rob halford in a leather cowboy hat/billy idol wannabe schtick.

Have a great time at the show!

I saw them at Roseland about 10 years ago for the Beyond Good and Evil tour. They took forever to get on stage but once they did all was forgiven.. Great great show! Bring earplugs - my ears are still ringing from that night. Have a great time I wish I was going!

Enjoy! Saw them a few years ago in Las Vegas, Ian and Billy hadn't lost a step...

Saw them in NYC for the Ceremony tour, the band was imploding at the time, and it showed. Top 5 favorite band, when Astbury is "on," few can touch him.

It was amazing. I saw The Cure, Depeche Mode, Siousxie, U2, Morrissey, Echo...etc, all in their heyday. I can say Thursday night was perhaps the best live show I've ever seen.

The band was wide awake, sharp, utterly focused and simply ON. I was a skeptic walking in, and in awe walking out. I thought they lost their sound, their touch, and they proved me wrong.

I was there for the sound check, met the band, except Ian, who didn't come out to meet us. Shook their hands, chatted for a moment, had a photo, and autographs. As a joke, I brought my 8x10 headshot; I left work early and my company just took new headshots for some HR thing, and I busted it out. They ripped on me, but signed it. Giving it to my secretary on Monday who idolizes The Cult. How man idiots can say The Cult signed their photo? Absurd, ridiculous.

Bottom line: they were awesome. Led Zeppelin meets The Doors meets the 80's, and out popped The Cult.

San Diego state 1988, greatest concert ever. I just missed the electric tour, they played here in Cali. Nice to hear about other cult fans.

Pet Shop Boys at the Beacon in a few weeks.

A change of pace for sure, but down the same path of the iconic 80's.

And, according to Steve Kilbey, The Church are making another record.
