Great stage today! A few things though:
1. Sagan is really impressing me with his all-around cycling ability. He BLEW the peloton apart about 1km from the summit of the last climb and I mean he eviscerated them. Only Tejay was able to follow, not Danielson or even Atapuma (probably the best climber of them all). Then on the descent, he took back nearly 30 seconds on a really short descent. Man was he taking tons of risks. His bike handling is ridiculous.
2. What the heck was Mathias Frank thinking? He had about 10 seconds on Lachlan Morton and only needed 5 to become the leader of the race and he....freewheels?! Morton comes within 5 seconds and takes the leaders jersey. BMC has got to be pissed, great he won the stage, but you NEVER leave the leaders jersey hanging out there Look at Phonak at the 2006 tour when they gave Pereiro 30 minutes so he could take the yellow jersey and Phonak could take it easy on the mountain stages. Landis bonked the next day and then drank too much testosterone filled booze later in the race.
3. Jeez, Phil and Paul kept talking about how Schleck is back and...well Morton put him in his place.
