They sure do feel good though. Well, maybe not full on ice, but at least a jump in a cold pool or cold shower on a hot day work wonders.

Nonsense!!! I use cryotherapy for my beer and I can tell you that it greatly improves my post ride recovery.
jumping in the pool feels nice, but you couldn't pay me to get into a freakin ice bath. I keep meaning to take an epsom salt (warm) bath after a long, nasty ride and see how that feels.
