What's the best way to clean white Cinelli cork tape?

A big ole sponge and a bucket of hot water with lots of dish soap.

Water bottle cages that don't get oxide all over your water bottles, that transfers to your hands, that transfers to the tape.

and a latex glove in your seat bag to put on when dealing with greasy things elsewhere on the bike while you're on a ride.

Yep, prevention is a big step.

Dirty white cork is still better looking than BORING black tape :butt: I have never had black tape on a bike and never will.

Get some Boraxo hand soap and mix in a little water to make a paste, put it on a cloth and clean with a shoeshine motion. The slight grit cleans the crud right off the tape. It's a bit messy, so put some newspaper under the bike.

Dawn dish soap with a terry face cloth in a buffing motion works well for me. Someday I'll remember to spray it with Scotch-Guard before I wrap.

Not sure if they still do or not, but about a month ago Supergo had its own brand white cork tape on sale for something like $2.99. Forget cleaning and replace it. :)

Don't clean it. Dirty white tape is a sure sign of a real cyclist who really rides their bike. It sends a message-don't mess with me 'cuz I got the miles.
